If the shift lever cannot be moved
from the "P" position due to discharged battery or similar
reasons, release the shift lock by observing the procedure
below.

1.Turn the ignition switch
to the position other than the "LOCK" (OFF) position
<except vehicles with Keyless Operation System
(KOS)> or put the operation mode in OFF
<vehicles with Keyless Operation System
(KOS)>.

2.Remove the shift lock
forced release button lid shown in the figure. While
pressing the shift lock forced release button with a
screwdriver or a similar tool, move the selector
lever.
