STEP 1. M.U.T.-III data list



  • Refer to Data List Reference Table .

    1. Item 171: Brake booster pressure sensor

Q. Is the check result normal?

Intermittent malfunction (Refer to GROUP 00 - How to Use Troubleshooting/Inspection Service Points - How to Cope with Intermittent Malfunctions ).
Go to Step 2.

STEP 2. Perform resistance measurement at brake booster pressure sensor connector.



  • Disconnect connector, and measure at harness side.
  • Resistance between terminal ACPE&BVSE line and earth.
OK: Continuity (2 Ω or less)

Q. Is the check result normal?

Go to Step 5.
Go to Step 3.

STEP 3. Check of open circuit and damage in ACPE&BVSE line between brake booster pressure sensor connector and engine-ECU connector.


Q. Is the check result normal?

Go to Step 4.
Repair the connector(s) or wiring harness.

Replace the engine-ECU.

  • After replacing the brake booster pressure sensor, reconfirm whether the diagnosis code is set.

Replace the engine-ECU.
