Code No. C1366: Lateral G-sensor (output error)
Code No. C1371: Yaw rate sensor error
Code No. C1381: G-sensor (output error, seizure)
Code No. C1385: Yaw rate sensor active check
Code No. C1387: Lateral G-sensor/G performance

caution
  • If there is any problem in the CAN bus lines, an incorrect diagnosis code may be set. Prior to this diagnosis, diagnose the CAN bus lines (Refer to GROUP 54C - CAN Bus Diagnostics Table ).
  • Whenever ECU is replaced, ensure that the CAN bus lines are normal.
  • When the hydraulic unit (integrated with ASC-ECU) is replaced, always carry out the calibration of the steering wheel sensor and the G and yaw rate sensor (Refer to and ).

OPERATION

The ASC-ECU monitors the integrated G and yaw rate sensor.

DIAGNOSIS CODE SET CONDITIONS

The ASC-ECU will set a diagnosis code when it receives an unfeasible signal from the G and yaw rate sensor.

PROBABLE CAUSES

note When the vehicle is driven under special conditions, such as driving on a rough road, this diagnosis code will be set.

DIAGNOSIS PROCEDURE

STEP 1. M.U.T.-III CAN bus diagnosis

Use the M.U.T.-III to diagnose the CAN bus lines.

Q. Is the check result normal?

Go to Step 3.
Repair the CAN bus line (Refer to GROUP 54C - Troubleshooting ). On completion, go to Step 2.

STEP 2. Diagnosis code recheck after resetting CAN bus lines

Q. Is diagnosis code No. C1366, C1371, C1381, C1385 or C1387 set?

Go to Step 3.
This diagnosis is complete.

STEP 3. M.U.T.-III data list

Check the following service data (Refer to ).

  • Item No.05: Longitudinal G sensor
  • Item No.06: Lateral G sensor
  • Item No.08: Yaw rate sensor
  • Item No.16: Longitudinal G sensor (Raw value)
  • Item No.17: Lateral G sensor (Raw value)

Q. Is the check result normal?

Go to Step 4.
Replace the hydraulic unit assembly (integrated with ASC-ECU) (Refer to ).

STEP 4. Check whether the diagnosis code is set again.

(1)Erase the set diagnosis code.
(2)Ignition switch: "LOCK" (OFF) to "ON"
(3)Start the engine.

Q. Is diagnosis code No. C1366, C1371, C1381, C1385 or C1387 set?

Replace the hydraulic unit (integrated with ASC-ECU) (Refer to ).
The trouble can be an intermittent malfunction (Refer to GROUP 00 - How to Cope with Intermittent Malfunction ).
