Code No.B1706: Flasher fuse blown




COMMENTS ON TROUBLE SYMPTOM


If the flasher fuse is broken, the ETACS-ECU sets diagnosis code No. B1706.

PROBABLE CAUSES




DIAGNOSIS PROCEDURE


STEP 1. Check the flasher fuse.


Q. Is the fuse in good condition?

Go to Step 2.
Check the flasher fuse. (Refer to GROUP 00 - How to use Troubleshooting/inspection Service Points - Inspection service point for blown fuse .) Then go to Step 3.

STEP 2. Check of open circuit in HAZ1 line between the ETACS-ECU connector and the fusible link.


Q. Is the check result normal?

Go to Step 3.
Repair the connector(s) or wiring harness.

STEP 3. Check whether the diagnosis code is reset.


Check if diagnosis code No.B1706 is set to the ETACS-ECU.

Q. Is the diagnosis code set?

Replace the ETACS-ECU.
The trouble can be an intermittent malfunction (Refer to GROUP 00 - How to use Troubleshooting/inspection Service Points - How to Cope with Intermittent Malfunction ).
