  • External factors and vehicle conditions greatly affect the operation of the FCM-LS and RMS (Forward). Thus, check if the conditions at occurrence of a malfunction are affected by external factors or vehicle conditions before performing the troubleshooting (Refer to ).
  • Diagnosis code No. C1753 may be set.

STEP 1. Check for dirt or foreign materials around the windshield and laser radar


Check if there is dirt, damage, or foreign materials around the windshield and laser radar.

Q. Is the check result normal?

Go to Step 2.

Remove or clean dirt, damage, or foreign materials.

STEP 2. Check the trouble symptom


Check if the laser radar can detect an object correctly by inspecting the laser radar.

Q. Is the check result normal?

End the failure diagnosis (The protection control has been activated due to a factor, such as weather or environment around the vehicle, and no failure has occurred).

Replace the laser radar (Refer to ).
