REMOVAL SERVICE POINT



<<A>> SPARK PLUG REMOVAL



Using special tool Spark plug wrench (MB991398), removal the spark plug.

<<B>> CAMSHAFT POSITION SENSING CYLINDER REMOVAL




1.Using special tool Flywheel stopper (MD998781), hold the drive plate.
2.Removal the camshaft position sensing cylinder.

INSTALLATION SERVICE POINT



>>A<< CAMSHAFT POSITION SENSING CYLINDER INSTALLATION




1.Using special tool Flywheel stopper (MD998781), hold the drive plate.
2.Tighten the camshaft position sensing cylinder to the specified torque.
Tightening torque: 22 ± 4 N·m

>>B<< CAMSHAFT POSITION SENSOR SUPPORT INSTALLATION



1.Remove completely the FIPG remaining on the camshaft position sensor support and cylinder head.
2.Apply a 3 ± 1 mm diameter bead of FIPG to the indicated surface of the camshaft position sensor support.
Specified sealant:
    Mitsubishi Genuine Part No.MD970389 or equivalent

>>C<< SPARK PLUG INSTALLATION



Using special tool Spark plug wrench (MB991398), tighten the spark plug to the specified torque.
Tightening torque: 25 ± 5 N·m
