TECHNICAL DESCRIPTION (COMMENT)


If the M.U.T.-III can not communicate with the ABS system, the CAN bus lines may be defective. If the ABS system does not work, the ABS-ECU or its power supply circuit may be defective.

DIAGNOSIS


STEP 1. M.U.T.-III CAN bus diagnostics



caution Before connecting or disconnecting the M.U.T.-III, turn the ignition switch to the "LOCK" (OFF) position.
Use M.U.T.-III to diagnose the CAN bus lines.
(1)Connect M.U.T.-III to the 16-pin diagnosis connector.
(2)Turn the ignition switch to the "ON" position.
(3)Diagnose the CAN bus line.

Q. Is the check result normal?

Check and repair the power supply circuit system (Refer to ).

Repair the CAN bus lines (Refer to GROUP 54F, CAN bus line Diagnostic flow ).
