INSPECTION PROCEDURE 2: The corner sensor system does not operate.

CIRCUIT OPERATION

Refer to

COMMENTS ON TROUBLE SYMPTOM

If the corner sensor OFF indicator and corner sensor indicator illuminate when the ignition switch is turned to the ON position, the power supply system is normal. Vehicle speed signal or corner sensor/back sonar sensor-ECU may be defective.

POSSIBLE CAUSES

Damaged harness wires and connectors
Malfunction of corner sensor/back sonar sensor-ECU
Malfunction of the engine-A/T-ECU

DIAGNOSTIC PROCEDURE

Step 1. M.U.T.-III other system diagnosis code

Check whether the MPI system-related diagnosis code is set.

Q. Is the check result normal?

	Diagnose the MPI system. Refer to GROUP 13A, Troubleshooting or GROUP 13B, Troubleshooting .

	Go to Step 2.

Step 2. Connector check: Corner sensor/back sonar sensor-ECU connector C-137.

Q. Is the check result normal?

Go to Step 3.

Repair the defective connector.

Step 3. Verification after corner sensor/back sonar sensor-ECU replacement

After replacing the corner sensor/back sonar sensor-ECU, inspect the corner sensor system for normal operation.

Q. Is the check result normal?

	The procedure is complete.

	Replace the engine-A/T-ECU.
