INSPECTION PROCEDURE 5: All the corner sensor indicators do not illuminate or flash. INSPECTION PROCEDURE 6: All the corner sensor indicators stay on.

COMMENTS ON TROUBLE SYMPTOM

If all the corner sensor indicators do not illuminate or flash, or all the corner sensor indicators continue flashing, the wiring harness, connectors, corner sensor/back sonar sensor-ECU, or combination meter may be defective.

POSSIBLE CAUSES

  • Damaged harness wires and connectors
  • Malfunction of corner sensor/back sonar sensor-ECU
  • Malfunction of the combination meter

DIAGNOSTIC PROCEDURE

Step 1. Inspect OFF indicator and sensor indicator with ignition switch turned to ON position.

Verify that the corner sensor OFF indicator lamp and corner sensor indicator will illuminate for 1 second when the ignition switch is turned to the ON position.

Q. Is the check result normal?

YES <Both of them illuminate normally.> : Retest the system.
NO <Corner sensor OFF indicator lamp and corner sensor indicator do not illuminate.> : Diagnose the power supply system of the combination meter. Refer to .
NO <Only corner sensor OFF indicator lamp does not illuminate.> : Perform "Corner sensor OFF indicator lamp does not illuminate." Refer to .
NO <All the corner sensor indicators do not illuminate or continue flashing.> : Go to Step 2.
NO <Any of the corner sensor indicators does not illuminate or continues flashing.> : Perform "Any of corner sensor indicators does not illuminate." Refer to .

Step 2. Connector check: Corner sensor/back sonar sensor-ECU connector C-137 and combination meter C-02.

Q. Is the check result normal?

Go to Step 3.

Repair the defective connector.

Step 3. Verification after corner sensor/back sonar sensor-ECU replacement

After replacing the corner sensor/back sonar sensor-ECU, verify that the corner sensor indicator lamp illuminates normally.

Q. Is the check result normal?

The procedure is complete.
Replace the combination meter.
