Diagnostic Item 12: Diagnose the terminator resistor at one end <LH drive vehicles>

caution When servicing a CAN bus line, earth yourself by touching a metal object such as an unpainted water pipe. If you fail to do, a component connected to the CAN bus line may be broken.

TROUBLE JUDGMENT

The terminator resistor at one end of CAN bus lines is damaged when the resistance between the CAN bus lines (CAN_L and H lines) is 120 ± 20 Ω.

COMMENTS ON TROUBLE SYMPTOM

The wiring harness wire or connectors may have loose, corroded, or damage terminals, or terminals pushed back in the connector, or the combination meter or the engine-ECU <M/T> or engine-A/T-ECU may be defective.
