Code No. P1797: G-Sensor/Brake Pressure Sensor Malfunction <Vehicles with ASC>

DIAGNOSTIC FUNCTION

CVT-ECU determines if the CAN signals it receives from the ASC-ECU are normal.

JUDGEMENT CRITERIA

If the following conditions are met after it is detected that the power supply voltage is 9 V or more, the engine speed is 450 r/min or more, and the vehicle speed was 5 km/h or more.

The brake fluid pressure sensor error signal reception continues for 5 seconds.
The front/rear G-sensor error signal reception continues for 5 seconds.

Malfunction of ASC-ECU
Malfunction of CVT-ECU

DIAGNOSIS PROCEDURE

STEP 1. M.U.T.-III diagnosis code.

Check if ASC-related diagnosis code is set.

Q. Is the ASC-related diagnosis code set?

	Carry out the appropriate troubleshooting (Refer to GROUP 35C - Troubleshooting, Diagnosis Code Procedures ).

	Go to Step 2.

STEP 2. Symptom recheck after erasing diagnosis code.

Q. Is the diagnosis code No. P1797 set?

	Replace the CVT-ECU.

	Intermittent malfunction (Refer to GROUP 00 - How to Cope with Intermittent Malfunctions).
