Fix the flywheel assembly using
special tool flywheel stopper (MD998781),
and loosen the drive plate bolts.

1.Apply a small amount of
engine oil to the entire inner diameter of the crankshaft
rear oil seal lip.
|
|
2.Use the following special
tools, press-fit a new crankshaft rear oil seal into the oil
seal case.
- Oil seal installer (MB991818)
- Installer bar (MB990938)
3.Apply a small amount of engine oil to the
entire inner diameter of the crankshaft
rear oil seal lip.

|
1.Remove the sealant, engine
oil, and other adhering materials from the drive plate
installation face, the crankshaft screw hole and drive plate
bolts.
|
|
2.Install the drive plate
and drive plate adapter plate to the crankshaft.
|
|
3.Fix the drive plate using
special tool flywheel stopper (MD998781) in the same manner
as removal.
|
|
4.Apply the engine oil to
the installation face of the drive plate mounting bolts for
the
drive plate. 5.Apply a small amount of engine oil
to the bearing surface and thread of the drive
plate bolts, and then apply the sealant to the thread as
shown in the figure. Specified sealant:
ThreeBond 1324 or equivalent

Install the drive plate bolts
immediately after applying sealant.

6.Tighten the drive plate
bolts to the specified torque in the order shown in the
illustration. Tightening torque: 40
N·m 7.Tighten the drive plate bolts
to the specified torque again in the order shown in
the illustration. Tightening torque: 130
N·m

1.Apply a small amount of
engine oil to the entire inner diameter of the crankshaft
front oil seal lip.

When installing the crankshaft
front oil seal, be careful
to avoid damage to the crankshaft front oil
seal.
|
Use the following special tools, press-fit a new
crankshaft front oil seal into the timing
chain case.
- Oil seal installer (MB992290)
- Handle (MB992075)
