PROBABLE CAUSES




DIAGNOSIS PROCEDURE


warning A high-tension voltage is flowing between the engine-ECU and the injectors while the engine is running. Handle them carefully to avoid receiving electric shocks from the voltage.

STEP 1. Check of open circuit and short to earth in I/B1 line between engine-ECU connector and No. 1 injector connector.


Q. Is the check result normal?

Go to Step 2.
Repair the connector(s) or wiring harness.

STEP 2. Check of open circuit and short to earth in I/B4 line between engine-ECU connector and No. 4 injector connector.


Q. Is the check result normal?

Go to Step 3.
Repair the connector(s) or wiring harness.

STEP 3. Check of open circuit and damage in INJ1 line between No. 1 injector connector and engine-ECU connector.


Q. Is the check result normal?

Go to Step 4.
Repair the connector(s) or wiring harness.

STEP 4. Check of open circuit in INJ4 line between engine-ECU connector and No. 4 injector connector.


Q. Is the check result normal?

Go to Step 5.
Repair the connector(s) or wiring harness.

STEP 5. Check Injector itself



  • Check No. 1 injector and No. 4 injector itself (Refer to ).

Q. Is the check result normal?

Go to Step 6.
Replace the injector.

STEP 6. M.U.T.-III diagnosis code.



  • After erasing the diagnosis code through M.U.T.-III, start the engine and confirm whether the diagnosis code is set.

Q. Is the diagnosis code set?

Replace the engine-ECU.
