CODE NO. P1566: Engine - ACC/FCM Control State Mismatch <ACC>
caution |
If diagnosis code NO. P1566 is stored in engine-ECU, surely perform CAN bus line diagnosis.
caution |
Replace ECU after certainly confirming that the communication circuits are normal.
DIAGNOSIS CODE SET CONDITIONS
This diagnosis code is stored when the abnormality below is detected:
- ACC-related information does not meet a predetermined value.
- More than 2 seconds have passed since the ignition switch was turned to "ON" position.
PROBABLE CAUSES
- Failed harness and connector
- Failed ACC/FCM-ECU
- Failed engine-ECU
STEP 1. M.U.T.-III CAN bus diagnosis
- Use M.U.T.-III to perform CAN bus line diagnosis.
Q.
Is the check result normal?
Go to Step 2.
Repair CAN bus line (Refer to GROUP 54C - Troubleshooting - CAN Bus Diagnostics Table ). After repairing CAN bus line, go to Step 5.
STEP 2. M.U.T.-III diagnosis code
- Confirm the diagnosis code is stored in the ACC/FCM-ECU.
Q.
Is diagnosis code stored?
Perform troubleshooting of the adaptive cruise control system (ACC) (Refer to Troubleshooting - Diagnosis Code Chart ).
Go to Step 3.
STEP 3. Check the MPI system diagnosis code.
Using M.U.T.-III, perform MPI system diagnosis code (Refer to GROUP 13A - Troubleshooting, Diagnosis Function <4B1>, GROUP 13B - Troubleshooting, Diagnosis Function <6B3>).
Q.
Is any diagnosis code stored?
Repair the MPI system (Refer to GROUP 13A - Troubleshooting, Inspection Chart for Diagnosis Code <4B1>, GROUP 13B - Troubleshooting, Inspection Chart for Diagnosis Code <6B3>). Then go to Step 5.
Go to Step 4.
STEP 4. Read the diagnosis code.
(1)Use the M.U.T.-III, erase the diagnosis code of the cruise control system.
(2)Turn the ignition switch to the "ON" position, and press the ACC ON/OFF switch to turn the cruise control system to ON (the cruise control display screen is turned on).
(3)After turning the cruise control system to ON, when 2 minutes or more has elapsed without operating the cruise control switches, read the diagnosis code of the cruise control system (Refer to ).
Q.
Is diagnosis code No. P1566 stored?
Replace the engine-ECU (Refer to GROUP 13A - Engine-ECU <4B1>, GROUP 13B - Engine-ECU <6B3>). Then go to Step 5.
It can be assumed that this malfunction is intermittent (Refer to GROUP 00 - How to Use Troubleshooting/Inspection Service Points, How to Cope with Intermittent Malfunction ).
STEP 5.
Q.
