Code No. P1799: Malfunction of Brake Fluid Pressure Signal

DIAGNOSTIC FUNCTION

The CVT-ECU determines that the system is defective when it receives a brake fluid pressure abnormality signal from the ABS/ASC-ECU.

JUDGEMENT CRITERIA

After the system has detected that the power supply voltage is 9 V or more, the engine speed is 450 r/min or more and the vehicle speed is 5 km/h or more, the system receives a malfunction signal from the brake fluid pressure sensor for five seconds.

DIAGNOSIS PROCEDURE

STEP 1. M.U.T.-III diagnosis code

Check if the ABS/ASC-related diagnosis code is set.

Q. Is the ABS/ASC-related diagnosis code set?

	Carry out the appropriate troubleshooting.

	Go to Step 2

STEP 2. Symptom recheck after erasing diagnosis code

Drive the vehicle at 5 km/h or more, and check again.

Q. Is the diagnosis code set?

	Replace the CVT-ECU.

	Intermittent malfunction.
