caution |
- If there is any
problem in the CAN bus lines, an incorrect diagnosis code may be set. Prior to this diagnosis,
diagnose the CAN bus lines (Refer to GROUP 54C - CAN Bus Diagnostics Table ).
- Whenever ECU is replaced, ensure that the CAN bus lines are normal.

OPERATION
Transmission-related signals are sent or received between the electric parking brake ECU
and the CVT-ECU or A/T-ECU via CAN bus lines.
DIAGNOSIS CODE SET CONDITIONS
When the system receives an invalid selector lever position signal, the diagnosis code
will be set.
PROBABLE CAUSES
- Malfunction of transmission system (inhibitor switch)
- The CAN bus line is defective (noise interference).
- Malfunction of the electric parking brake ECU

STEP 1. M.U.T.-III CAN bus diagnosis

Use the M.U.T.-III to diagnose the CAN bus lines.
|

Go to Step 3.

Repair the CAN bus lines (Refer to GROUP 54C - CAN Bus Diagnostics Table ).
On completion, go to Step 2.

Check if the diagnosis code is set in the ECU (CVT-ECU: Refer to GROUP 23A - Diagnosis
Code Chart , A/T-ECU: Refer to GROUP 23C - Diagnosis
