Right actuator malfunction
DIAGNOSIS CODE SET CONDITIONS
The diagnosis code will be set under any of the following conditions:
- The system detects that the electric motor in the electric parking brake
actuator (RH) fails or its gear is locked.
- The system detects that the electric motor or the gear in the electric parking brake
actuator (RH) runs freely.
PROBABLE CAUSES
- Malfunction of the electric parking brake actuator assembly (RH)
- Malfunction of the electric parking brake ECU

|
|
Check the following data list (Refer to  ).
|
|
|
- Item No.10: Right actuator +B line status
- Item No.16: Right motor current (adjusted)
- Item No.78: RR wheel actuator current

Q.
Is the check result normal?

|
 Go to Step 2.
|
|
|
|
|
|
 Replace the electric parking brake actuator assembly (RH) (Refer to ).
|
|
|
|
|
|
STEP 2. Check whether the diagnosis code is set again.
|
|
|
Check again if the diagnosis code is set.
|
|
|
(1)Erase the diagnosis code.
|
|
|
(2)Turn the ignition switch to the LOCK (OFF) position.
|
|
|
(3)Turn the ignition switch to the ON position.
|
|
|
(4)Move the selector lever to the P position.
|
|
|
(5)Operate the electric parking brake switch to lock and then release the electric
parking brake.

|
(6)Check if the diagnosis code is set.
|
|
|

Replace the electric parking brake ECU (Refer to ).
