Code No. C2225
Corner sensor switch
OPERATION
The clearance warning control unit sets diagnosis code No. C2225 when it receives sonar
switch ON-signal for at least one minute, or when it detects any open circuit or short to earth
in the sonar switch indicator circuit while the sonar switch indicator is deactivated.
TROUBLE JUDGEMENT
Any of the conditions below is satisfied:
- The sonar switch signal remains ON for at least one minute.
- The system detects a malfunction for at least three seconds when the sonar switch
indicator is deactivated.
PROBABLE CAUSES
- Malfunction of sonar switch
- Malfunction of clearance warning control unit
- Damaged harness wires and connectors
DIAGNOSIS PROCEDURE

STEP 5. Voltage measurement at sonar switch connector (IG11 line terminal).

(1)Disconnect the connector, and measure at the wiring harness side.
|

|
(2)Turn the ignition switch from the "LOCK" (OFF) position to the "ON" position.

|
|
(3)Check the voltage between the sonar switch connector (IG11 line terminal) and body
earth.
OK: System voltage

STEP 6. Check of short to earth, and open circuit in IG line between
the ETACS-ECU (IG11) and sonar switch connector.
