the ECU, ensure that the power supply circuit, the earth circuit and the communication circuit
are normal.

DIAGNOSTIC FUNCTION
The LDW-ECU will store diagnosis code No. C1704 when it determines that the temperature
inside the LDW camera is 85°C or more.
note |
The diagnosis code No. C1704 indicates that the LDW-ECU has activated a protective mechanism,
but is not abnormal. However, if diagnosis code No. C1704 is stored frequently, follow this
inspection procedure.

PROBABLE CAUSES
- Too hot LWD camera
- Malfunction of the LDW-ECU
DIAGNOSIS PROCEDURE
STEP 1. Check whether the diagnosis code is reset.
Follow the procedure below to check whether the LDW-ECU stores diagnosis code No. C1704.

(1)Move the vehicle to the cool place which is not subject to bright sunlight in order
to cool down the LDW camera.

(2)Erase the diagnosis code.
|
|
(3)Turn the ignition switch from the LOCK (OFF) position to the ON position.
|
|
(4)Check if the diagnosis code is set.

Replace the LDW-ECU.
The diagnosis is complete.
