REMOVAL AND INSTALLATION


caution
  • Do not drop the FCM/LDW/AHB-ECU, or expose it to impact. If yes, do not install it even if it has been stored in a packing.
  • Do not touch or contaminate the lens on the FCM/LDW/AHB-ECU.
  • Whenever you replace the FCM/LDW/AHB-ECU, calibrate its sensor (Refer to ).
  • After the calibration (Refer to ), check that none of severe scratch, cracks, foreign material or water drop is found on the windshield.

  • Before connecting the connector, keep 100 mm or more away from the laser transmitter lens. Therefore, install the FCM/LDW/AHB-ECU to the FCM bracket BEFORE connecting the connector. Whenever you remove the FCM/LDW/AHB-ECU from the bracket, disconnect the connector beforehand.

1.
caution To install the FCM/LDW/AHB-ECU, make sure the sealing foam on the FCM/LDW/AHB-ECU is not broken (not cracked and nicked). If yes, do not install the ECU.
Move the FCM/LDW/AHB-ECU towards the direction shown until two pins on the front of the FCM/LDW/AHB-ECU are engaged in the FCM bracket.

2.Pivot the FCM/LDW/AHB-ECU towards the direction shown until two hooks on the rear end of the FCM/LDW/AHB-ECU are engaged in the FCM bracket.
note Engage the two hooks on the rear end of the FCM/LDW/AHB-ECU one after another by pressing an appropriate side by hand. You should hear an audible click at each side.
