CODE No. C2322
Mirror IND. SHT.to PWR supply
caution |
Before replacing the ECU,
ensure that the power supply circuit, the earth circuit and the communication circuit are normal.
|
OPERATION
The BSW-ECU (master) energises and controls the blind spot warning lamp (LH), which is integrated
in the door mirror assembly.
CHECK CONDITION
When all of the conditions below are satisfied:
- Ignition switch is in the ON position.
- BSW-ECU (master) system voltage is at 9-16 V.
DIAGNOSTIC FUNCTION AND JUDGEMENT CRITERIA
The BSW-ECU (master) will set diagnosis code No.C2322 when the ECU terminal AN1 voltage remains
5.9 V or more with the blind spot warning lamp (LH) deenergised.
PROBABLE CAUSES
- Malfunction of the blind spot warning lamp within the door mirror assembly
(LH)
- Malfunction of BSW-ECU (master)
- Damaged harness wires and connectors
DIAGNOSIS PROCEDURE
STEP 1. Voltage measurement at door mirror assembly (LH) (incorporating
blind spot warning lamp) connector.
|
(1)Disconnect the door mirror assembly connector, and measure at the wiring harness
side.
|
|
(2)Turn the ignition switch from "LOCK" (OFF) position to "ON" position.
|
|
(3)Wait for at least 2 seconds, and then check the voltage between the door mirror assembly
(LH) (incorporating blind spot warning lamp) connector terminal of AN1 line and body earth. OK: 1V or less
|
Q.
Is the check result normal?
Go to Step 3.
Go to Step 2.
STEP 2. Check of short to power supply in AN1 line between BSW-ECU (master)
connector and door mirror assembly (LH) (incorporating blind spot warning lamp) connector
Q.
Is the check result normal?
Replace the BSW-ECU (master).
Repair the connector(s) or wiring harness.
STEP 3. Check the door mirror assembly (LH) (incorporating blind spot
warning lamp)
|
(1)Turn the ignition switch from "LOCK" (OFF) position to "ON" position.
|
|
(2)Wait for at least 2 seconds, and then check whether the blind spot warning lamp (LH)
is switched off.
|
Q.
Is the check result normal?
Go to Step 5.
Go to Step 4.
STEP 4. Check the AN1 circuit in the door mirror main wiring harness
(LH) for short to power supply.
Measure the resistance between the door mirror assembly connector terminal AN1 and each
of the other terminals.
OK: No continuity
Q.
Is the check result normal?
Replace the mirror (LH).
Repair the door mirror main harness (LH).
STEP 5. Check whether the diagnosis code is set again.
Check again if the diagnosis code is set in the BSW-ECU (master).
|
(1)Erase the diagnosis code.
|
|
(2)Turn the ignition switch from the LOCK (OFF) position to the ON position.
|
|
(3)Check if the diagnosis code is set.
|
Q.
Is the diagnosis code set?
Replace the BSW-ECU (master).
Intermittent malfunction is suspected (Refer to GROUP 00 - How to Use
Troubleshooting/Inspection Service Points - How to cope with Intermittent Malfunction).
