CODE No. C2324
Mirror indicator disconnection
caution |
Before replacing the ECU,
ensure that the power supply circuit, the earth circuit and the communication circuit are normal.
|
OPERATION
The BSW-ECU (slave) energises and controls the blind spot warning lamp (RH), which is integrated
in the door mirror assembly.
CHECK CONDITION
When all of the conditions below are satisfied:
- Ignition switch is in the ON position.
- BSW-ECU (slave) system voltage is at 9-16 V.
DIAGNOSTIC FUNCTION AND JUDGEMENT CRITERIA
The BSW-ECU (slave) will set diagnosis code No.C2324 when all of the following conditions
are satisfied:
- The blind spot warning lamp (RH) is energised
- BSW-ECU (slave) terminal AN1 voltage measures 5.9V or more
- The BSW-ECU (slave) terminal AN1 circuit current measures less than 3.0 mA.
PROBABLE CAUSES
- Malfunction of the blind spot warning lamp within the door mirror assembly
(RH)
- Malfunction of the BSW-ECU (slave)
- Damaged harness wires and connectors
DIAGNOSIS PROCEDURE
STEP 1. Perform voltage measurement at door mirror assembly (RH)
(incorporating blind spot warning lamp) connector.
|
(1)Disconnect the door mirror assembly (RH) connector, and measure at the wiring harness
side.
|
|
(2)Turn the ignition switch from "LOCK" (OFF) position to "ON" position.
|
|
(3)Check the voltage between the door mirror assembly (RH) connector terminal of AN1
line and body earth.
.....
When the actuator test (Item No. 1) is executed. OK: 3.5 to 5.5 V
.....
When the actuator test (Item No. 1) is aborted. OK: 1 V or less

Q.
Is the check result normal?
Go to Step 3.
Go to Step 2.
STEP 2. Check of open circuit in AN1 line between BSW-ECU (slave)
connector and door mirror assembly (RH) (incorporating blind spot warning lamp) connector.
Q.
Is the check result normal?
Replace the BSW-ECU (slave).
Repair the connector(s) or wiring harness.
STEP 3. Check of open circuit in earth line between the door mirror
assembly (RH) (incorporating blind spot warning lamp) connector and body earth.
Q.
Is the check result normal?
Go to Step 4.
Repair the connector(s) or wiring harness.
STEP 4. Check the door mirror assembly (RH) (incorporating blind spot
warning lamp).
Refer to GROUP 51 - Door Mirror Inspection .
Q.
Is the check result normal?
Go to Step 6.
Go to Step 5.
STEP 5. Check the blind spot warning lamp (RH) on mirror.
Refer to GROUP 51 - Door Mirror Inspection .
Q.
Is the check result normal?
Repair the door mirror main harness (RH).
Replace the mirror (RH).
STEP 6. Check whether the diagnosis code is set again.
Check again if the diagnosis code is set in the BSW-ECU (slave).
|
(1)Erase the diagnosis code.
|
|
(2)Turn the ignition switch from the LOCK (OFF) position to the ON position.
|
|
(3)Check if the diagnosis code is set.
|
Q.
Is the diagnosis code set?
Replace the BSW-ECU (slave).
Intermittent malfunction is suspected (Refer to GROUP 00 - How to Use
Troubleshooting/Inspection Service Points - How to cope with Intermittent Malfunction).
