Before replacing the ECU,
ensure that the power supply circuit, the earth circuit and the communication circuit are normal.

OPERATION
The BSW-ECU (master) communicates with the steering wheel sensor via the gateway-ECU and the
CAN bus lines.
CHECK CONDITION
Ignition switch is in the ON position.
DIAGNOSTIC FUNCTION AND JUDGEMENT CRITERIA
When the BSW-ECU (master) receives the signal, which indicates that the neutral position
of the steering wheel sensor has not been learnt yet, the ECU will set diagnosis code No.C2334.
PROBABLE CAUSES
- Neutral position of steering wheel sensor not learned
- Malfunction of the steering wheel sensor (incorporated in column switch assembly)
- Malfunction of BSW-ECU (master)
DIAGNOSIS PROCEDURE
STEP 1. Steering wheel sensor calibration
Perform calibration of steering wheel sensor (Refer to GROUP 35C - Steering Wheel
Sensor Calibration).
Q.
Is the check result normal?
Go to Step 2.
Replace the column switch assembly (integrated with steering wheel sensor) (Refer
to Column Switch Assembly Removal and Installation 
).
STEP 2. Check whether the diagnosis code is set again.
Check again if the diagnosis code is set in the BSW-ECU (master).

(1)Erase the diagnosis code.
|
|
|
(2)Turn the ignition switch from the LOCK (OFF) position to the ON position.
|
|
|
(3)Check if the diagnosis code is set.

Is the diagnosis code set?
Replace the BSW-ECU (master).
This diagnosis is complete.
