  • If diagnosis code No. U1195 is set in the BSW-ECU (slave), always diagnose the CAN bus line.
  • Before replacing the ECU, ensure that the power supply circuit, the earth circuit and the communication circuit are normal.

CHECK CONDITION


Ignition switch is in the ON position.

DIAGNOSTIC FUNCTION AND JUDGEMENT CRITERIA


When the BSW-ECU (slave) cannot store any vehicle information data, the ECU sets diagnosis code No. U1195.

PROBABLE CAUSES




DIAGNOSIS PROCEDURE


STEP 1. M.U.T.-III CAN bus diagnostics


Use the M.U.T.-III to diagnose the CAN bus lines.

Q. Is the check result normal?

Go to Step 2.

Repair the CAN bus line (Refer to GROUP 54C - Troubleshooting ).

STEP 2. M.U.T.-III other system diagnosis code


Check if diagnosis code No. B222C is set in the ETACS-ECU.

Q. Is the diagnosis code set?

Code the ETACS-ECU (Refer to GROUP 00 - Precautions Before Service - Coding List).

Go to Step 3.

STEP 3. Check whether the BSW-ECU (master) sets a diagnosis code.


Check if diagnosis code No. C2332 is set in the BSW-ECU (master).

Q. Is the diagnosis code set?

YES : Follow diagnosis code procedure No. C2332 for the BSW-ECU (master) (Refer to ).

Go to Step 4.

STEP 4. Check whether the diagnosis code is set again.


Check again if the diagnosis code is set in the BSW-ECU (slave).
(1)Turn the ignition switch from "LOCK" (OFF) position to "ON" position.
(2)Check if diagnosis code is set.

Q. Is the diagnosis code set?

Replace the BSW-ECU (slave).

This diagnosis is complete.
