REMOVAL AND INSTALLATION



Pre-removal Operation
  • Under Skid Plate and Engine Room Under Cover (Front) Removal (Refer to GROUP 51 - Under Cover ).
  • Air Intake Duct Removal (Refer to GROUP 15 - Air Cleaner ).
  • Cooling Fan and Cooling Fan Clutch Assembly Removal (Refer to GROUP 14 - Cooling Fan ).

Post-installation Operation
  • Cooling Fan and Cooling Fan Clutch Assembly Installation (Refer to GROUP 14 - Cooling Fan ).
  • Drives Belt Tension Check (Refer to ).
  • Air Intake Duct Installation (Refer to GROUP 15 - Air Cleaner ).
  • Under Skid Plate and Engine Room Under Cover (Front) Installation (Refer to GROUP 51 - Under Cover ).

REMOVAL SERVICE POINT



<<A>> CRANKSHAFT PULLEY CENTRE BOLT/CRANKSHAFT PULLEY WASHER/CRANKSHAFT PULLEY REMOVAL



1.Use the following special tools to support the crankshaft pulley:

  • Pulley holder (MB991800)
  • Pin (MB991802)
2.Loosen the crankshaft pulley centre bolt and remove the crankshaft pulley washer and crankshaft pulley.

INSTALLATION SERVICE POINT



>>A<< CRANKSHAFT PULLEY/CRANKSHAFT PULLEY WASHER/CRANKSHAFT PULLEY CENTRE BOLT INSTALLATION



1.Clean the bolt hole in crankshaft bolt and crankshaft pulley’s seating surface.
2.Degrease the cleaned seating surface of the crankshaft pulley
3.Apply an adequate and minimum amount of engine oil to the thread of the crankshaft pulley centre bolt and the upper surface of the crankshaft pulley washer.

4.Use the following special tool as during removal to support the crankshaft pulley:

  • Pulley holder (MB991800)
  • Pin (MB991802)
5.Tighten the crankshaft pulley centre bolt to the specified torque.
Tightening torque: 185 N·m
