STEP 1. Check chassis number information.



  • Set M.U.T.-III to the coding mode for chassis number information.

Q. Has chassis number been written?

Go to Step 2.
Write chassis number. Go to Step 3.

STEP 2. M.U.T.-III diagnosis code.



  • Reconfirm whether the diagnosis code is set.

  • Erase the diagnosis codes being output.
  • Ignition switch: "LOOK" (OFF) to ON.
  • Confirm whether the diagnosis code is set.

Q. Is the diagnosis code output?

Replace the engine-ECU. When the engine-ECU is replaced, write the chassis number (Refer to GROUP 00 - Precautions Before Service - How to Perform Chassis Number Writing ). After replacing the engine-ECU, register the injector identification code and learn fuel injection (Refer to GROUP 00 - Precautions Before Service - What The Common Rail Engine Learns ).
Intermittent malfunction (Refer to GROUP 00 - How to Use Troubleshooting/Inspection Service Points - How to Cope with Intermittent Malfunctions ).
