caution When the specified alternator is not used, each ECU would probably fail.
Pre-removal Operation
  • Air Cleaner Assembly and Air Intake Duct Removal <4M4> (Refer to GROUP 15 - Air Cleaner ).
  • Intercooler Air Hose A1 and Intercooler Air Pipe Removal (Refer to GROUP 15 - Intercooler ).
  • Waste gate actuator Removal (Refer to GROUP 15 - Exhaust Manifold and Turbocharger Assembly ) <4M41>.
  • A/C Compressor Drive Belt and Alternator Drive Belt Removal (Refer to GROUP 11E - Crankshaft Pulley ) <4M40>.
  • A/C Compressor Drive Belt and Alternator Drive Belt Removal (Refer to GROUP 11G - Crankshaft Pulley ) <4M41>.

 Post-installation Operation
  • A/C Compressor Drive Belt and Alternator Drive Belt Installation (Refer to GROUP 11E - Crankshaft Pulley ) <4M40>.
  • A/C Compressor Drive Belt and Alternator Drive Belt Installation (Refer to GROUP 11G - Crankshaft Pulley ) <4M41>.
  • Alternator Drive Belt Tension Check and Adjustment (Refer to GROUP 11E - On-Vehicle Service, Drive Belt Tension Check and Adjustment ) <4M40>.
  • A/C Compressor Drive Belt Tension Check and Adjustment (Refer to GROUP 11E - On-Vehicle Service, A/C Compressor Drive Belt Tension Check and Adjustment ) <4M40>.
  • Drive Belt Tension Check and Adjustment (Refer to GROUP 11G - On-vehicle Service, Drive Belt Tension Check and Adjustment ) <4M41>.
  • Waste gate actuator Installation (Refer to GROUP 15 - Exhaust Manifold and Turbocharger Assembly ) <4M41>.

REMOVAL SERVICE POINT

Remove the alternator upward while keeping it clear of the radiator lower hose.
