AUTO-CRUISE CONTROL SYSTEM COMPONENT CHECK



AUTO-CRUISE CONTROL SWITCH CHECK


1.Remove the auto-cruise control switch. (Refer to ).

2.Measure the resistance between terminal No. 3 and terminal No. 4 when each of the" ON/OFF" (MAIN), "CANCEL", "COAST/SET" and "ACC/RES" switches is pressed. If the values measured at the time each switch is pressed correspond to those in the table below, the resistance values are correct.

"ON/OFF" (MAIN) switch is ON
Less than 2 ohms
"CANCEL" switch is ON
202.5 - 208.0 Ω
"COAST/SET" switch is ON
610.5 - 624.5 Ω
"ACC/RES" switch is ON
1838 - 1877 Ω

STOP LAMP SWITCH CHECK


1.Disconnect the stop lamp switch harness connector.

2.Check for continuity between the terminals of the switch.
Measurement condition
Terminal connector of tester
Specified condition
When brake pedal is depressed.
1 - 2 (for stop lamp switch)
Less than 2 Ω
3 - 4 (for brake switch)
Open circuit
When brake pedal is not depressed.
1 - 2 (for stop lamp switch)
Open circuit
3 - 4 (for brake switch)
Less than 2 Ω

CLUTCH SWITCH CHECK <M/T>


1.Disconnect the clutch switch harness connector.

2.Check for continuity between the terminals of the switch.
Measurement condition
Terminal connector of tester
Specified condition
When clutch pedal is depressed.
1 - 2
Less than 2 Ω
When clutch pedal is not depressed.
1 - 2
Open circuit

INHIBITOR SWITCH (N POSITION) CHECK <A/T>
