REMOVAL SERVICE POINTS

<<A>> FRONT PROPELLER SHAFT REMOVAL

1.Support the No.2 crossmember assembly with a transmission jack, and disconnect the connection of the No.2 crossmember assembly and the front frame (Refer to GROUP 26 - Differential Carrier and Free Wheeling Clutch Assembly ).

2.
caution Be careful to avoid damage to the vacuum hoses.
Lower the No.2 crossmember assembly to the position where the front propeller shaft can be removed.
3.After removing the front propeller shaft, install the No.2 crossmember assembly to the front frame (Refer to GROUP 26 - Differential Carrier and Free Wheeling Clutch Assembly ).

<<B>> CLUTCH RELEASE BEARING DISCONNECTION

1.Remove the inspection hole cover from the service hole in the clutch housing.

2.While pushing the release fork by hand in the direction A, insert a flap-tip screwdriver between the release bearing and the wedge collar.
3.
caution If it is hard to turn the screwdriver (to pry off the release bearing), remove the screwdriver once and repeat the above procedure after pushing the release fork fully in the direction a two to three times. Forcibly prying can cause the release bearing to be damaged.
Separate the release bearing from the wedge collar by prying with the screwdriver (turning the screwdriver grip 90°).
note The release fork is forced to move fully in the direction B by the return spring as soon as it is separated from the wedge collar.

<<C>> TRANSMISSION HARNESS CONNECTOR DISCONNECTION

1.Lower the transmission to a position where the transmission harness connector can be disconnected, and then disconnect the connector.
2.Place the disconnected transmission harness so that it stays on the vehicle body.
