1.Remove the drive shaft LH
(Refer to  ).

2.Use special tool rear axle
shaft oil seal remover (MB990590) to remove the oil
seal.
|
|
3.Use the following special
tools to install new oil seal.
- Bearing and oil seal installer set
(MB990934)
- Bearing and oil seal installer set
(MB990938)

4.
| caution |
- Be careful not damage the lip of oil
seal.
- Replace the circlip attached to the
spline of LH DOJ side of driveshaft with
a new one.
|
Apply multipurpose grease to the oil seal to lip
before installing the drive shaft LH (Refer to ).
