BRAKE DISC THICKNESS CHECK

1.Using a micrometer, measure disc thickness at eight positions, approximately 45° apart and 10 mm in from the outer edge of the disc. Standard value: Item Brake disc thickness Limit Front Short wheelbase, Long wheelbase-2 800, 3 000 26.0 24.4 Long wheelbase-3 200, 3 800 28.0 26.0 Rear Short wheelbase, Long wheelbase-2 800, 3 000 22.0 20.4 Long wheelbase-3 200, 3 800 18.0 16.0 Thickness variation (at least 8 positions) The difference between any thickness measurements should not be more than 0.015 mm. 2.If the disc is beyond the limits for thickness, remove it and install a new one. If thickness variation exceeds the specification, replace the brake disc or grind it with on-the-car type brake lathe ("MAD, DL-8700PF" or equivalent).
