Code No.16: ABS-ECU
or valve relay power supply system (abnormal drop or increase in voltage)
OPERATION
The ABS-ECU is energised by the ignition switch (IG2) through valve relay and motor relay.
DIAGNOSIS CODE SET CONDITION
The ABS-ECU monitors the ignition switch (IG2) voltage and the voltage supplied to the
valve relay and motor relay. This diagnosis code is set when each voltage becomes less than
or more than the specified value. When the specified voltage is restored, the ABS warning lamp
goes out, and the diagnosis code is erased.
PROBABLE CAUSES
- Excessive electrical load
- Battery failure
- Damaged wiring harness or connector
- Malfunction of the ABS-ECU
- Charging system failed
