DIAGNOSIS CODE SET CONDITIONS

Diagnosis codes No. 41, 42, 43, 44, 45, 46, 47, and 48 are set in the following cases;

PROBABLE CAUSES

The most likely causes for these diagnosis codes to set are:

DIAGNOSIS

STEP 1. Resistance measurement at HBB connector B-106, B-107 and B-108.

Measure the resistance between the terminals of each solenoid valve at HBB connector B-106, B-107 and B-108 (equipment side) (Refer to ).

Q. Is the check result normal?

Go to Step 2.
Replace the HBB. Then go to Step 4.

STEP 2. Check the harness wires between HBB connector B-106 and ABS-ECU connector D-250, D-251.

Check the wiring harnesses between the following terminals.
Code No.41
  • HBB connector B-106 (terminal No.19) - ABS-ECU connector D-250 (terminal No.52)
  • HBB connector B-106 (terminal No.20) - ABS-ECU connector D-250 (terminal No.41)
Code No.42
  • HBB connector B-106 (terminal No.21) - ABS-ECU connector D-251 (terminal No.14)
  • HBB connector B-106 (terminal No.22) - ABS-ECU connector D-251 (terminal No.1)
Code No.43
  • HBB connector B-106 (terminal No.15) - ABS-ECU connector D-251 (terminal No.15)
  • HBB connector B-106 (terminal No.16) - ABS-ECU connector D-251 (terminal No.2)
Code No.44
  • HBB connector B-106 (terminal No.13) - ABS-ECU connector D-250 (terminal No.51)
  • HBB connector B-106 (terminal No.14) - ABS-ECU connector D-250 (terminal No.40)
Code No.45
  • HBB connector B-106 (terminal No.18) - ABS-ECU connector D-251 (terminal No.16)
Code No.46
  • HBB connector B-106 (terminal No.17) - ABS-ECU connector D-251 (terminal No.3)

Q. Is the check result normal?

Go to Step 3.
Repair the wiring harness.

STEP 3. Check whether the diagnosis code is reset.

Check again if the diagnosis code is set.
(1)Turn the ignition switch to the "ON" position.
(2)Erase the diagnosis code.
(3)Turn the ignition switch to the "LOCK" (OFF) position.
(4)Turn the ignition switch to the "ON" position.
(5)Check if the diagnosis code is reset.
(6)Turn the ignition switch to the "LOCK" (OFF) position.

Q. Is code No.41, 42, 43, 44, 45 or 46 set?

Replace the ABS-ECU. Then go to Step 4.
It can be assumed that this malfunction is intermittent. Refer to GROUP 00, How to Use Troubleshooting/Inspection Service Points - How to Cope with Intermittent Malfunction .

STEP 4.

Repeat the troubleshooting from Step 1.
The procedure is complete.
