HEADLAMP AUTOMATIC LEVELLING MOTOR DRIVE TEST

caution

The levelling motor drive test of headlamp levelling unit shall be performed with a vehicle at a standstill. (When a vehicle speed signal is input from the headlamp automatic levelling ECU, the levelling motor drive test cannot be performed.)

1.Using the special tool diagnosis code check harness (MB991529), earth diagnosis connector terminal No. 1 (diagnosis control terminal).
2.Turn the ignition switch to the ON position.
3.Turn ON the headlamp switch.
4.Check that the headlamp levelling operates downward for 1.5 seconds.

note

When the levelling of the headlamp faces downward at the time of drive test start, it stays as is.

5.Check that the headlamp levelling operates upward for 3 seconds.
