Inspection Procedure 15: The temperature of rear air conditioner cannot be controlled <Dual A/C>




















CIRCUIT OPERATION


When the temperature adjustment of rear A/C cannot be performed, the circuit between the rear A/C switch and A/C-ECU may have a failure.

PROBABLE CAUSES



  • Malfunction of the A/C-ECU
  • Malfunction of the rear A/C switch
  • Damaged the wiring harness or connectors

DIAGNOSIS PROCEDURE


STEP 1. M.U.T.-III diagnosis code


Check that the diagnosis code related to the A/C is not set.

Q. Is the check result normal?

Go to Step 2.
Carry out the diagnosis code procedures. Refer to .

STEP 2. Connector check: E-25 rear A/C switch connector


Q. Is the check result normal?

Go to Step 3.
Repair the connector.

STEP 3. Check the rear A/C switch.


Refer to .

Q. Is the rear A/C switch in good condition?

Go to Step 4.
Replace the rear A/C switch.

STEP 4. Connector check: D-07 A/C-ECU connector


Q. Is the check result normal?

Go to Step 5.
Repair the connector.

STEP 5. Check the wiring harness between E-25 rear A/C switch connector (terminals 5, 3 and 13) and D-07 A/C-ECU connector (terminals 47, 41 and 43).


note Prior to the wiring harness inspection, check intermediate connectors D-219, and junction block connector D-404, and repair if necessary.

  • Check the A/C-ECU input line for open or short circuit.

Q. Is the check result normal?

Replace the A/C-ECU.
Repair the wiring harness.
