REMOVAL AND INSTALLATION



caution
  • Unless replaced, do not remove the suction control valve.
  • When the Suction control valve is replaced, use the M.U.T.-III to initialise the learning value (Refer to GROUP 00 - Precautions Before Service, Initialisation Procedure for Learning Value in Common Rail Engine ).
  • When the Suction control valve is replaced, perform the supply pump correction learning (Refer to GROUP 00 - Precautions before Service, What the Common Rail Engine Learns ).
Pre-removal Operation
  • Battery Tray Removal (Refer to GROUP 54A - Battery ).
  • Throttle Body Assembly Removal (Refer to ).
  • Oil Level Gauge Guide Removal (Refer to GROUP 15 - Inlet Manifold ).

Post-installation Operation
  • Oil Level Gauge Guide Installation (Refer to GROUP 15 - Inlet Manifold ).
  • Throttle Body Assembly Installation (Refer to ).

REMOVAL SERVICE POINT

1.Clean the area around the suction control valve with a cleaner, etc.
2.
caution Pay attention not to let foreign materials get into the supply pump during and after the suction control valve removal.
Loosen the suction control valve mounting bolts, and remove the suction control valve from the supply pump.

  • Pay attention not to let the suction control valve be contaminated with foreign material when installing it.
  • Pay attention not to let foreign materials get into the supply pump during the suction control valve installation.
Apply a drop of new engine oil to the O-ring in the supply pump groove, and insert the suction control valve by hands until it contacts with the supply pump. When inserting the suction control valve, make sure that the suction control valve connector is in the direction shown in the figure.
2.
caution Tighten the two suction control valve mounting bolts evenly.
Tighten the suction control valve mounting bolts to the specified torque.
Tightening torque: 8.9 ± 1.9 N·m
