caution When the injector assembly is replaced, register the injector identification code and perform the small injection quantity learning (Refer to GROUP 00 - Precautions before Service, What the Common Rail Engine Learns ).

REMOVAL SERVICE POINT



<<A>> SUCTION CONTROL VALVE/O-RING REMOVAL.


1.Clean the area around the suction control valve with a cleaner, etc.
2.
caution Pay attention not to let foreign materials get into the supply pump assembly during and after the suction control valve removal.
Loosen the suction control valve mounting bolts, and remove the suction control valve from the supply pump assembly.
3.Remove the o-ring from the supply pump assembly.

1.
caution
  • Pay attention not to let the suction control valve be contaminated with foreign material when installing it.
  • Pay attention not to let foreign materials get into the supply pump assembly during the suction control valve installation.
Fit the O-ring to the O-ring groove on the supply pump assembly.

2.Apply a drop of new engine oil to the O-ring in the supply pump assembly groove, and insert the suction control valve by hands until it contacts with the supply pump assembly. When inserting the suction control valve, make sure that the suction control valve connector is in the direction shown in the figure.
3.
caution Tighten the two suction control valve mounting bolts evenly.
Tighten the suction control valve mounting bolts to the specified torque.
Tightening torque: 8.9 ± 1.9 N·m
