Code No. P0500: Vehicle Speed Signal Low Input <EURO5>

FUNCTION

• The engine-ECU receives vehicle speed signal from ASTC-ECU via the CAN communication.
  

TROUBLE JUDGEMENT

• CAN communication is normal
  
• Battery positive voltage is more than 10 V and is less than 16.5 V.
  

• The vehicle speed information received from the CAN is abnormal, or the CAN signal cannot be received.
  

• The EGR control is stopped (fully closed).
  

PROBABLE CAUSES

• Failed wheel speed sensor of ASTC.
  
• Failed ASTC-ECU
  
• Failed engine-ECU
  

	Perform troubleshooting of the active stability control (ASTC) system. (Refer to GROUP 35C - Troubleshooting - Diagnosis Code Chart ).

	Go to Step 2.

	Go to Step 3.

	Replace the ASTC-ECU.

	Replace the engine-ECU.

	Intermittent malfunction (Refer to GROUP 00 - How to Use Troubleshooting/Inspection Service Points - How to Cope with Intermittent Malfunctions).
