REMOVAL AND INSTALLATION


Pre-removal Operation
  • Engine Upper Cover Assembly and Engine Cover Bracket Removal (Refer to GROUP 11C - Engine Assembly ).
  • Throttle body assembly (Refer to GROUP 13B - Throttle Body Assembly )

 Post-installation Operation
  • Throttle body assembly (Refer to GROUP 13B - Throttle Body Assembly )
  • Engine Upper Cover Assembly and Engine Cover Bracket Installation (Refer to GROUP 11C - Engine Assembly ).

INSTALLATION SERVICE POINTS

>>A<< INLET MIDDLE MANIFOLD INSTALLATION

Tighten the inlet middle manifold mounting bolt and nut to the specified torque in order of the numbers shown in the illustration.
Tightening torque: 22 ± 1 N·m

>>B<< INLET UPPER MANIFOLD GASKET INSTALLATION

Install the inlet upper manifold gasket as its protrusion is in the direction shown.

>>C<< INLET UPPER MANIFOLD INSTALLATION

Tighten the air inlet upper manifold mounting bolt and nut to the specified torque in order of the numbers shown in the illustration.
Tightening torque: 22 ± 1 N·m

>>D<< EGR VALVE GASKET INSTALLATION

Install the EGR valve gasket so that the tab is positioned as shown in the illustration.

>>E<< EGR VALVE PIPE GASKET INSTALLATION


Install the EGR valve pipe gasket so that the tab is positioned as shown in the illustration.

>>F<< MANIFOLD ABSOLUTE PRESSURE SENSOR INSTALLATION
caution
  • Install the manifold absolute pressure sensor, taking care not to give a shock to it.
  • Do not use a manifold absolute pressure sensor that has fallen down.
