ACC Target Torque <Vehicles with ACC/FCM>

- If diagnosis
code No. P1565 is set in the engine-ECU, surely perform CAN bus line diagnosis.
- Replace ECU after certainly confirming that the communication circuits are normal.

DIAGNOSIS CODE SET CONDITIONS
This diagnosis code is set when the abnormality below is detected:
- The ACC target engine torque value, which the active
stability &
traction control (ASTC)-ECU sends, is abnormal.
- More than 2 seconds have passed since the ignition switch was turned to "ON" position.
PROBABLE CAUSES
- Failed harness and connector
- Failed hydraulic unit assembly (integrated with ASTC-ECU)
- Failed engine-ECU

STEP 1. M.U.T.-III CAN bus diagnosis.
|
|
|
Use M.U.T.-III to perform CAN bus line diagnosis (Refer to GROUP 54C -
Troubleshooting,
CAN Bus Diagnostics Table  ).
|
|
|
Q.
Is the check result normal?
|
|
|
 Go to Step 2.
|
|
|
|
|
|
 Repair CAN bus line (Refer to GROUP 54C -
Troubleshooting, CAN Bus Diagnostics
Table ). After repairing CAN bus line, go to Step 5.

|
|
|
|
|
STEP 2. Check the ASTC system diagnosis code.
|
|
|
Using M.U.T.-III, perform ASTC system diagnosis code (Refer to GROUP 35C -
Troubleshooting <ASTC-ECU>,
Diagnosis Function ).

|
|
Q.
Is diagnosis code set?
|
|
|
Repair the ASTC system (Refer to GROUP 35C -
Troubleshooting <ASTC-ECU>,
Diagnosis Code Chart ). Then go to Step 5.
|
|
|
|
|
|
Go to Step 3.
|
|
|
|
|
|
STEP 3. Check the MPI system diagnosis code.
|
|
|
Using M.U.T.-III, perform MPI system diagnosis code (Refer to GROUP 13B -
Troubleshooting,
Diagnosis Function).
|
|
|
Q.
Is any diagnosis code set?
|
|
|
Repair the MPI system (Refer to GROUP 13B -
Troubleshooting, Inspection
Chart for Diagnosis Code). Then go to Step 5.
|
|
|
|
|
|
Go to Step 4.
|
|
|
|
|
|
STEP 4. Read the diagnosis code.
|
|
|
(1)Use the M.U.T.-III, erase the diagnosis code of the cruise control system.
|
|
|
(2)Turn the ignition switch to the "ON" position, and press the ACC ON/OFF
switch to turn the cruise control system to ON (the cruise control display screen is turned
ON).
|
|
|
(3)After turning the cruise control system to ON, when 2 minutes or more has elapsed
without operating the cruise control switches, read the diagnosis code of the cruise control
system.

|
Q.
Is diagnosis code No. P1565 set?
|
|
|
Replace the engine-ECU (Refer to GROUP 13B -
Engine-ECU). Then go to
Step 5.
|
|
|
|
|
|
It can be assumed that this malfunction is intermittent (Refer to GROUP 00 -
How
to Use Troubleshooting/Inspection Service Points, How to Cope with Intermittent Malfunction).
|
|
|
|
|
|
STEP 5. Read the diagnosis code.
|
|
|
(1)Use the M.U.T.-III, erase the diagnosis code of the cruise control system.
|
|
|
(2)Turn the ignition switch to the "ON" position, and press the ACC ON/OFF
switch to turn the cruise control system to ON (the cruise control display screen is turned
ON).
|
|
|
(3)After turning the cruise control system to ON, when 2 minutes or more has elapsed
without operating the cruise control switches, read the diagnosis code of the cruise control
system.
