INHIBITOR SWITCH AND CONTROL CABLE ADJUSTMENT



1.Remove the heat protector from the transmission case.
2.Move the selector lever to the N position.

3.Loosen the T/M control cable adjusting nut.
4. Remove the inhibitor switch adjusting bolt.
5.Turn the inhibitor switch to adjust so that the "A" shown in the figure and the scribe line of inhibitor switch match.

caution Be careful not let the inhibitor switch slip out of place.
Install a new adjusting bolt, and then tighten it to the specified torque.
Tightening torque: 13 ± 2 N·m

7.Gently push the transmission control cable lever in the direction as shown, and tighten the adjusting nut to the specified torque.
Tightening torque: 23 ± 4 N·m
8.Check that the selector lever is at the N position.
9.Check that the transmission shifts to the correct range corresponding to the position of the selector lever, and that it functions correctly in that range.
10.Install the heat protector to the transmission case.
Tightening torque: 11 ± 1 N·m
