Inspection Procedure 29: Vibration (during driving)




COMMENTS ON TROUBLE SYMPTOM


If a vibration occurs during driving, the cause is probably an immixing of A/T fluid other than the specified one or a malfunction of the mounting (engine mounting and transmission mounting insulator).
note As a cause of vibration, an exhaust system resonance, driveshaft malfunction (damage, wear, looseness, large deflection), unbalanced tyres, interference between drive line and body, or suspension malfunction (looseness) is suspected. However, in this item, it shall be presupposed that there is no abnormality to the above.

DIAGNOSIS PROCEDURE


STEP 1. Mounting check


Check the engine mounting and transmission mounting insulator for damage and any faults.

Q. Is the check result normal?

Replace the A/T fluid.
Repair or replace the engine mounting and transmission mounting insulator.
