A/T INITIAL LEARNING PROCEDURE

caution When the A/T or A/T-ECU is replaced, always initialise the learned value, and perform the initial learning.

caution
  • Do not raise the fluid temperature with engine stall.
  • If the fluid temperature is not between 65 and 110°C, the initial learning cannot be performed.
1.Raise the fluid temperature by leaving the vehicle at idle or performing a city driving. Subsequently, check the fluid temperature data using the M.U.T.-III, and check that the fluid temperature is at between 65 and 110°C.
note After the fluid temperature is raised, check the garage shift shock and shift shock status before the learning.
2.Make the A/T-ECU learn about the garage shift shock according to the procedure below:
(1) Depress the brake pedal with the vehicle stationary.
(2) Move and hold the selector lever to the N range for three seconds, and then move and hold it to the D range for three seconds.
(3) Repeat step (2) five times.
(4) Move and hold the selector lever to the N range for three seconds, and then move and hold it to the R range for three seconds.
(5) Repeat step (4) five times.
3.Make the A/T-ECU learn about the shift shock according to the procedure below:
(1) Accelerate the vehicle at the D range until the speed reaches approx. 80 km/h and the 8th gear is engaged (accelerator pedal opening angle: approx. 15% <6B3>, approx. 30% <4N1>).
(2) Subsequently, release the accelerator pedal to decelerate, and take at least 60 seconds to stop the vehicle.
(3) Repeat steps (1) and (2) ten times.
4.Check that the garage shift shock and shift shock are alleviated compared to these before the learning.
