Code No.P2743: A/T Fluid Temperature Sensor 2 System (Open Circuit)

OPERATION

DIAGNOSIS CODE SET CONDITION

10 minutes after the start of driving, when a status continues for 12 seconds with which the input voltage from fluid temperature sensor 2 is higher than standard value, code No. P2743 is set.

PROBABLE CAUSES

DIAGNOSIS PROCEDURE

STEP 1. Measure the resistance at A/T-ECU connector.

Disconnect the connector, and measure the resistance between terminal OTS2 line and terminal GSE2 line at the sensor side.
OK:

  • Approx. 6.5 kΩ (at 10°C)
  • Approx. 3.5 kΩ (at 25°C)
  • Approx. 0.25 kΩ (at 110°C)

Q. Is the check result normal?

Go to Step 4.
Go to Step 2.

STEP 2. Check the A/T fluid temperature sensor.

Refer to .

Q. Is the check result normal?

Go to Step 3.
Replace the A/T fluid temperature sensor 2.

STEP 3. Check for open circuit and short circuit in OTS2, GSE2 line between A/T fluid temperature sensor 2 connector and A/T-ECU connector.

Q. Is the check result normal?

Go to Step 4.
Repair the connector(s) or wiring harness.

STEP 4. Check whether the diagnosis code is set again.

  • Ignition switch: "LOCK"(OFF) → "ON"
  • Check again if the diagnosis code is set.

Q. Is diagnosis code No.P2743 set?

Replace the A/T-ECU.
Intermittent malfunction (Refer to GROUP 00 - How to Cope with Intermittent Malfunction ).
