Code No. P2771: Transfer 4WD Low Switch Signal Failure <4WD>


OPERATION


The AT-ECU receives information on the 4WD system from the transfer-ECU.

DIAGNOSIS CODE SET CONDITIONS


When the system receives an invalid signal from the transfer-ECU via CAN bus lines, code No. P2771 is set.

PROBABLE CAUSES



DIAGNOSIS PROCEDURE

STEP 1. M.U.T.-III CAN bus diagnosis

  • Use M.U.T.-III to perform CAN bus line diagnosis.

Q. Is the check result normal?
Go to Step 2.
Repair CAN bus line (Refer to GROUP 54C - Troubleshooting - CAN Bus Diagnostics Table ).

STEP 2. M.U.T.-III diagnosis code

  • Confirm whether the diagnosis code is set in the transfer-ECU.

Q. Is diagnosis code set?
Perform troubleshooting of transfer system (Refer to ).
Go to Step 3.

STEP 3. Check whether the diagnosis code is set again.

  • Ignition switch: "LOCK"(OFF) → "ON"
  • Check again if the diagnosis code is set.

Q. Is diagnosis code No.P2771 set?
Replace the A/T-ECU
Intermittent malfunction (Refer to GROUP 00 - How to Cope with Intermittent Malfunction ).
