Code No. P2771: Transfer 4WD low switch signal failure <4WD>

DIAGNOSIS CODE SET CONDITIONS

When 4WD low switch ON signal is not sent from the transfer-ECU via CAN to the A/T-ECU for at least 0.5 seconds although the actual transfer gear ratio remains low, diagnosis code No. P2771 will be set.

PROBABLE CAUSES

Malfunction of the CAN
Malfunction of the transfer-ECU
Damaged harness or connector
Malfunction of the high/low detection switch
Malfunction of the A/T-ECU

DIAGNOSIS PROCEDURE

STEP 1. Check for CAN communication system malfunction.

Q. Are diagnosis code U0001, U0100, U0114, U0121, U0141, P0155 set?

	Check and repair the CAN communication system.

	Go to Step 2.

STEP 2. Is the diagnosis code for transfer-ECU displayed?

Check that the failure related to the transfer does not occur.

Q. Is the check result normal?

	Go to Step 3.

	Diagnose the transfer system (Refer to GROUP 22A - Troubleshooting).

STEP 3. Erase the diagnosis code, and drive the vehicle for a while.

Road test the vehicle at 4L or 4LLc mode, and then check that no diagnosis codes are set.

Q. Is diagnosis code No.P2771 set?

	Replace the A/T-ECU.

	The procedure is complete.
