JUDGEMENT CRITERIA
When the A/T-ECU cannot receive programmed signal.
PROBABLE CAUSES
- Malfunction of CAN bus line
- Variant coding for ETACS-ECU has not been implemented.
- Malfunction of ETACS-ECU
- Malfunction of A/T-ECU

STEP 1. M.U.T.-III CAN bus diagnostics
|
|
|
Use the M.U.T.-III to diagnose the CAN bus lines.
|

Q.
Is the check result normal?
|
|
|
 Go to Step 2.
|
|
|
|
|
|
 Repair the CAN bus lines. (Refer to GROUP 54C - Troubleshooting - CAN Bus Diagnostics Table  ).

|
|
|
STEP 2. Use M.U.T.-III to confirm a diagnosis code of other systems.
|
|
|
Check if a coding-related diagnosis code is set in the ETACS-ECU.
|
|
|

Is the diagnosis code set?
|
|
|
Diagnose the ETACS-ECU (Refer to GROUP 54A - ETACS - Troubleshooting ).
|
|
|
|
|
|
Go to Step 3.
|
|
|
|
|
|
STEP 3. Check whether the diagnosis code is set again.
|
|
|
(1)Erase the diagnosis code.
|
|
|
(2)Ignition switch: "LOCK" (OFF) → "ON"
|
|
|
(3)Check if the diagnosis code is set.

Replace the A/T-ECU.
