  • If there is any problem in the CAN bus lines, an incorrect diagnosis code may be set. Prior to this diagnosis, diagnose the CAN bus lines (Refer to GROUP 54C - Troubleshooting ).
  • Whenever ECU is replaced, ensure that the CAN bus lines are normal.
  • When the hydraulic unit assembly (integrated with ASTC-ECU) is replaced, always carry out the calibration of the steering wheel sensor and the G sensor (Refer to ).

DIAGNOSIS PROCEDURE


STEP 1. M.U.T.-III CAN bus diagnosis


Use the M.U.T.-III to diagnose the CAN bus lines.

Q. Is the check result normal?

Go to Step 2.

Repair the CAN bus line (Refer to GROUP 54C - Troubleshooting ). Then go to Step 4.

STEP 2. M.U.T.-III diagnosis code


Use M.U.T.-III to check the diagnosis code for the ASTC system.

Q. Is the diagnosis code set?

Carry out the diagnosis for the diagnosis code (Refer to ).

Go to Step 3.

Check the ASTC system data list.

Proceed to "The Off-Road Mode Selector Signal is not Received." in troubleshooting section for gateway-ECU (Refer to GROUP 54C - Troubleshooting <Gateway> ). Then go to Step 4.

STEP 4. Retest the system


Is the off-road mode switched among "GRAVEL", "MUD/SNOW", "SAND", "ROCK" when you operate the off-road mode selector under any of the following conditions?
