Code No. C1775: Alignment Sensor too Far (Upper)

When the ACC/FCM-ECU is replaced, calibrate the radar (refer to ).

The radar may not function normally if foreign object or dirt (snow or ice) is adhered on the radar or its surrounding area, or the road condition is bad due to a severe weather (heavy rain or snow). In that case, the system will deactivate the FCM as system protection and display an alert message ("FCM RADAR BLOCKED") on the combination meter.

OPERATION

ACC/FCM-ECU monitors the radar calibration.

DIAGNOSIS CODE SET CONDITION

This diagnosis code is set when the abnormality below is detected:

The ACC/FCM-ECU detects an angle of 3.0 degree angle or more in the upper direction, which exceeds an automatic compensation limit.

A diagnosis code is not set as a historic fault.

PROBABLE CAUSES

Heavy loads on luggage space
Dirt or foreign material on the radar
Malfunction of the wheel alignment
Distorted or deformed vehicle
Improperly installed ACC/FCM-ECU
Malfunction of the ACC/FCM-ECU

DIAGNOSIS PROCEDURE

STEP 1. Check whether any loads are carried in the passenger compartment.

Check whether any loads are carried in the luggage compartment.

Q. Are any heavy loads carried in the luggage compartment?

	Take out the load from the luggage compartment, and then go to Step 2.

	Go to Step 3.

STEP 2. Check whether the diagnosis code is set again.

Drive the vehicle at 15 km/h or more for approximately 15 minutes. Check whether the ACC/FCM-ECU sets any diagnosis code.

Q. Is diagnosis code No. C1775 set?

	Go to Step 3.

	This diagnosis is complete.

STEP 3. Check the ACC/FCM-ECU radar for contamination.

Check the ACC/FCM-ECU radar for contamination.

Q. Is the ACC/FCM-ECU radar contaminated?

	Clean the ACC/FCM-ECU radar, and then go to Step 4.

	Go to Step 5.

STEP 4. Check whether the diagnosis code is set again.

Drive the vehicle at 15 km/h or more for approximately 30 minutes. Check whether the ACC/FCM-ECU sets any diagnosis code.

Q. Is diagnosis code No. C1775 set?

	Go to Step 5.

	This diagnosis is complete.
