The ACC/FCM-ECU sets the diagnosis code when it receives an invalid information from the transfer-ECU.
note A diagnosis code is not set as a historic fault.

PROBABLE CAUSES

DIAGNOSIS PROCEDURE

STEP 1. M.U.T.-III CAN bus diagnostics.

Use M.U.T.-III to perform the CAN bus diagnosis.

Q. Is the check result normal?

Go to Step 2.
Repair the CAN bus lines (Refer to GROUP 54C - Troubleshooting ). On completion, go to Step 2.

STEP 2. Use M.U.T.-III to confirm a diagnosis code of other systems.

Check if the diagnosis code is set in the transfer-ECU (Refer to GROUP 23A - Troubleshooting <SS4 II>, Diagnosis Function).

Q. Is the diagnosis code set?

Troubleshoot the transfer-ECU diagnosis code (Refer to GROUP 23A - Troubleshooting <SS4 II>, Diagnosis Code Chart).
Go to Step 3.

STEP 3. Check whether the diagnosis code is set again.

Check again if the diagnosis code is set in the ACC/FCM-ECU.
